Paris 2024: The Games of the Century
Published on July 28, 2024
A retrospective on the most stylish Olympic Games in history. Hospitality on the Seine.
The Paris Olympics transformed the City of Light into a global stage. It was a logistical challenge, but one that offered immense rewards for those with the right access. Seeing beach volleyball played under the Eiffel Tower was a visual that will define these games.
The Opening Ceremony
It was bold, taking place on the Seine. 66 Elite secured a private barge for a group of clients. With a glass roof, gourmet catering, and a prime position near the Trocadéro, they watched the athletes' parade in total comfort, sheltered from the rain that dampened the spirits of the public crowds.
Hospitality: The Palace Package
Our clients enjoyed the 'Palace' hospitality packages. This included access to the Salon Gustave Eiffel for lunch before heading to the events. The level of service was consistent with the city's top hotels.
Where to Stay
Cheval Blanc Paris: With its location right on the river, it was the strategic choice. The views from the balcony rooms allowed clients to feel part of the action while maintaining their privacy.
Insider Tip
The traffic restrictions were severe. We utilized a fleet of electric water taxis to move clients between the Left and Right banks, bypassing the closed bridges and ensuring they made their dinner reservations at Girafe on time.
